Giving your baby a bath should be a pleasure for both the baby and the parents. It is also essential to ensure that the first few experiences that the baby has in the bath should be enjoyable. • Preferably make a soap and water solution in a separate mug and wash the baby with a sponge or a washcloth with the free hand.
• Wash scalp with a wet soapy cloth and the face and eyes with moist cotton ball.
• Wash the diaper area and rinse the baby thoroughly.
• Wrap your baby in a dry towel and pat him dry.

Following these simple rules can ensure that the baby never gets overwhelmed with too much water. Water that is too hot or too cold can also make the baby uncomfortable or even scald the baby. Checking the water temperature is essential before you begin the bath.

A hooded baby towel can be very useful during a baby bath routine. A baby’s skin is tender and, unlike adults, is unable to withstand the unpredictability of the environment, pollutants and chemicals. As soon as you take the baby out of the warm water, you should cover him from head to toe with a hooded towel. A hooded towel is better because it helps in covering the head along with the body which will help in keeping colds away.
